NAIOP Day at the Capitol - March
21, 2006
NAIOP Tampa Bay members had several
key meetings during the annual visit to Capitol Hill in Tallahassee.
They discussed growth management and workforce housing with Senator
Mike Bennett (R-Bradenton), Chair of the Community Affairs
Committee. Greg Krasovski, Senior Policy Advisor for Senate
President Tom Lee (R-Brandon), met with NAIOP members for more than
thirty minutes. Eminent domain was the topic during the meeting with
Matthew Bahl, legislative assistant to Representative Trey Traviesa
(R-Brandon) - a member of the House Select Committee to Protect
Private Property Rights.
NAIOP members also asked for
legislative support of the repeal of joint & several liability.
The Legislature passed the bill ten days later.
