Chapter Leaders Visit Capitol Hill
in Washington, Feb 3, 2004
Three NAIOP Tampa Bay leaders delivered the commercial real estate
development industry's legislative priorities to members of the
United States House of Representatives on Tuesday, February 3. The
Chapter was represented by President Julio Maggi of Echelon
Development, President-Elect Bill Martin of Hawkins Construction,
and Boardmember Chuck Carver of the Ward Rovell & Van Eepoel law
firm. The trio persevered through cold, wet weather dubbed
"wintry mix" by local meteorologists and the closure of
the Senate office buildings due to the discovery of an envelope
poisoned with ricin.
