Congressman Jim Davis Addresses
NAIOP "Town Hall Meeting"
April 6, 2004
Jim Davis - a four-term, Democratic
Congressman representing the 11th district - addressed a range of
topics, from the deficit to the war in Iraq, and then took several
questions during a members-only "town hall meeting" on
April 6, 2004. Mr. Davis, a member of the Congressional Real Estate
Caucus, requested this forum when he met with NAIOP Tampa Bay
members in Washington on February 3. The Tampa native was in the
district for the congressional spring recess. More than fifty NAIOP
members attended the event held at Maggiano's in West Shore Plaza.
The sponsor of the event was the law firm of Bush, Ross, Gardner,
Warren & Rudy.

Congressman Jim Davis, a member
of the Telecommunications & Internet Subcommittee of the House
Energy & Commerce Committee, is aware of NAIOP's support for the
sales tax on Internet retail transactions. Seated behind Mr. Davis
is Robin Bishop of Bishop & Associates who emceed the luncheon
meeting.
