2004 "Day at the Capitol"
NAIOP members from around Florida
gathered in Tallahassee for the annual "Day at the
Capitol" on March 15-16.
On Monday, the NAIOP of Florida
Board of Directors met. NAIOP members also heard presentations from
representatives of the Foundation for Preserving Florida's Future
and VoteSmart Florida. The association's national President, Tom
Bisacquino, and Director of State & Local Affairs, Leslie
McDowell, traveled from the headquarters in Herndon, Virginia to
support NAIOP of Florida's opposition to the Hometown Democracy
ballot initiative.
On Tuesday, NAIOP
members met with senators, representatives, and legislative aides.
During each meeting, they emphasized the association's support for
reforms of the constitutional amendment process.
